How the venture invests

• for CLM facility members who joined during the R&D phase.We invest in the form of waivers on lab usage and consumed regent & consumables, and the long-term hired consultant cost on technology troubleshooting. We will monitor the development process, and acceptable & successful companies will enter the next phase of investment, on their choice.
• We provide initial funding, typically $250K, or $500K, to CLM facility members with a invitation from Bio Pro Association or whose investment request has passed the Bio Pro Association panel review.
• We lead-invest with our investment partners in seed rounds for companies that have already received initial funding from Latitude Venture, typically $1~5M.
• We also provide essential business resources required by the start-ups to scale up their business, including supply chain, expert workforce and manufacturing capacity; these resource services are considered in-kind capital injections and are priced on a case-by-case basis.

How the venture exists

The venture offer equity exits options for investees:

• Buyback at the pre-agreed price & timetable.
• Exit at the pre-agreed stage of fundraising.

The venture may also decide to take and hold the equity permanently for strategic purposes and will only exit if the venture is terminated.
